I was very happy yesterday. I found a wild purple orchid in our garden. It is only one, among the grasses and other plants. I could hardly see it from the edge of the garden. There are other purple and red flowers and seeds. Red is a summery colour. Dock and sorrel are colourful. Are those flowers or seeds? Among the grasses and yellow buttercups I saw the last blue bluebell (cuckoo flower). But I still haven't heard a single cuckoo.
