We have already seen some place names with animals of farm and perhaps house – cat, dog, pigs, sow, piglet, ram, horse, cow and oxen (up till 1327). From 1327 we can add “bull”, “hunting dog”, “pig”, “horses” (and horseman), “ox”, “mare”, “colt” and “colts”. The last date I have found is 1841. Nowadays we see animals, but the same animals are not found near the places with their names. Next we will look at names with wild animals.
