Is this a ploughed field? Is this part of a wild moor, a bit of roughland? It isn't; it's our garden, our lawn. Now it is a badgers' self-service restaurant. Is there a worm or slug left in it at all? There is a mole under this mole-hill, un-eaten. Perhaps there's no "mole" on a badger's menu, or perhaps it's too deep. Could badgers eat toadstools? My husband has a lawn-mower, but he can't mow!
