Happy May Day. Could I say more? Did you celebrate the day? How should we mark the passing of the seasons? What are the customs? When I was a girl there was dancing round a maypole. Every girl wanted to be a May Queen. Many years ago the cattle and sheep were driven to their summer pastures. That is not the custom in Cornwall now. Perhaps you lit a fire for Pagan Celtic "Beltane". In Scotland there was a big fire festival.
