I love April. It's the most beautiful month, I think. Gone are winter's coldness and wetting, gone are the long nights. I am happy to see longer and brighter days. Winter is dark and grey. I love the colours in my garden. There's silver in a silver (white) birch and gold in a gorse bush (though the gorse bush is not in my garden). The blackthorn in the hedge is flowering, the plums will be next, beautiful white blossoms. There are tiny white flowers, too, the first wild strawberry plant. My granddaughter likes wild strawberries. Will there be fruits soon? There's a mole under the footpath. He can't see the beautiful flowers, sadly. He's blind. Is he cosy under the slab?
