The leader of Cornwall Council, councillor Linda Taylor, and the chairman of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Economic Forum, Lord Hutton, have written a letter to the new Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer. They are calling for the appointment of a Minister for Cornwall (from the Commons or the Lords). They have said that a minister would be pivotal in unleashing Cornwall's ability to support the ambition of a stronger and more sustainable United Kingdom.
