There's no wind today, so the air is quite still and I can hear many things near and far. There was a loud buzzing and knocking in the conservatory - after that it stopped abruptly. It was a large bumble bee, looking for an escape. Did it escape? The dog was looking at something. I investigated. I saw a battle to the death between a spider and the larger bee. The spider won! She was wrapping the bee in her silk - a packed lunch.
